Our Story

Our journey started in a workshop in the Summer of 2018. Supersmith was the name of that workshop. It's where the idea for a self levelling mobility scooter first came to life and it's why we called our brand Supersmith.

That idea is now a reality and our 3Scooter is the result of a grand collaboration with users - through interviews, workshops, conversations and test days.

We are based at the BRL Hardware Incubator, on the UWE Campus, and we’re proud of our connections and support from our local community. We’ve been supported by Scale up For Growth, Future Space and the Business Innovation Fund, West of England Combined Authority.

About the founders

Supersmith has three founding partners - Tom, Emily and Fred. Each has their own personal connection with the world of mobility and a deep rooted desire to make things easier for people who find it difficult to walk. With combined skills across management, consultancy, business development, engineering and robotics, they're uniquely placed to disrupt the mobility scooter market as we know it.

Supersmith is the culmination of years of testing, collaborating and designing to bring a 3 wheeled mobility scooter to market that is safer, lighter and higher.

When you choose Supersmith, you're not just getting a great scooter - you're joining us on a journey towards a more accessible, inclusive world.
