Warranty Summary

This section provides a simple summary of your warranty. Full details are set out in the sections that follow.

Your 3Scooter is covered by a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty which starts on the date you receive your 3Scooter. The warranty covers faults caused by manufacturing defects or faulty materials.

If a problem occurs, we may repair the product, replace parts, or replace the product. You will need proof of purchase and the product’s Unique Device Identifier (UDI) found on the label under the footplate.

The warranty period is 1 year for commercial use and business customers. Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or failure to follow the user instructions is not covered.

This warranty does not affect your legal rights under UK consumer law.

2. Product Covered

This warranty applies to the following product:

Product Name: 3Scooter S1

Each product is identified by its Unique Device Identifier (UDI) This warranty excludes second-hand, refurbished, ex-demo, or resold products.  

3. Warranty Period

Where you are a consumer user the warranty period is 2 years, starting from the date of delivery. “Consumer” means an individual acting for purposes that are wholly or mainly outside that individual's trade, business, craft or profession.

Where you are a business customer the warranty period is one year, starting from the date of delivery. A “business customer” is any customer who is not a ‘“consumer”.  

The warranty covers all parts and components of the product.

4. What This Warranty Covers

This warranty covers faults caused by:

Defective materials

Manufacturing defects

Faulty workmanship

During the warranty period we will, at our discretion, determine the most appropriate remedy for any confirmed defect. This may include:

Repair of the product

Replacement of defective parts

Replacement of the product with the same or an equivalent model if repair is not practical 

Repairs may be carried out:

By a suitably qualified technician, or

By returning the product to the manufacturer.

Replacement parts inherit the remaining warranty period of the original product.

We may use reconditioned parts. We reserve the right to decide on the best course of action 

5. Product Care and Maintenance

To maintain warranty coverage, the product must be used and maintained in accordance with the instructions provided in the product manual. This includes, where applicable:

Charging and storing the battery according to the instructions

Keeping the product clean and free from excessive dirt or debris

Storing the product in a suitable environment

Damage or faults caused by failure to follow reasonable maintenance and care instructions may not be covered by this warranty.

6. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear

Accidental damage

Misuse or improper use

Damage caused by unauthorised repairs or modifications

Use of non-approved or incompatible parts, accessories, or chargers

Failure to follow product instructions

Cosmetic damage that does not affect product functionality

Any modifications made without consent of Supersmith 

Any changes made to the specification in order to comply with regulation or new laws. 

Further use of the 3Scooter once you have notified us that there is a problem 

Willful damage 

Use of unauthorised parts or repairs

Any servicing or repair carried out not in accordance with the Product Manual.

Failure to maintain in accordance with the Product Manual.

We recommend that you ensure our email address will not fall into spam. 

7. Lithium Battery

The removable lithium battery is covered by this warranty when used in accordance with the product manual and within the product’s intended operating conditions.

The 3Scooter is designed for normal outdoor use, including exposure to light rain.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

Water immersion or flooding

Pressure washing or direct high-pressure water exposure

Prolonged exposure to heavy rain or standing water

Liquid ingress caused by improper storage or handling

Physical damage to the battery

Use of non-approved chargers

8. Water Exposure and Environmental Conditions

This product is designed for normal outdoor use, including operation in light rain and typical UK weather conditions.

However, the product is not waterproof and must not be exposed to excessive water or moisture.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

Submersion or partial submersion in water.

Operating the 3Scooter, or leaving it, in heavy rain.

Driving through deep puddles or flooded areas.

Pressure washing or cleaning with running water.

Water entering the battery compartment, charging port, or electrical components.

Prolonged storage or use in wet or highly humid environments.

Corrosion or electrical damage caused by excessive moisture.

If the product becomes wet, it should be dried as soon as reasonably possible and inspected before further use.

Where water exposure results in corrosion, electrical failure, or battery damage, such damage may not be covered by this warranty.

9. Folding Mechanism

Damage caused by improper folding, transport, or handling of the folding mechanism is not covered by this warranty.

10. Speed Limiting Modes

The 3Scooter includes configurable speed limiting modes.

Damage caused by modification or interference with speed control systems is not covered by this warranty.

11. Delivery Inspection

Customers should inspect the product as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Any damage that may have occurred during transit should be reported within 3–5 days of delivery.

Prompt reporting allows us to investigate and, where appropriate, make a claim with the courier.

12. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim, please contact our customer support team and provide:

Proof of purchase

The product’s Unique Device Identifier (UDI)

Photos or video of the issue

We may request an inspection by an authorised technician or require the product to be returned for diagnosis.

All claims must be received within the warranty period. 

13. Transport and Call-Out

Depending on the issue and your location:

Repairs may be carried out by a technician, or

The product may need to be returned to the manufacturer.

Transport or call-out charges may apply in some circumstances, particularly if you are based outside UK Mainland.You will be informed of any costs before they are incurred.

If no fault is found, a reasonable inspection or call-out fee may be charged.

14. Geographic Coverage

This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the United Kingdom.

For the purposes of this warranty, the United Kingdom includes England, Scotland and Wales.

15. Proof of Purchase

Warranty service requires proof of purchase and the product’s Unique Device Identifier (UDI).

16. Registration

This warranty automatically applies from the date of product delivery.

17. Consumer Rights

This warranty is provided in addition to your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Nothing in this warranty limits or replaces your statutory consumer rights.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the manufacturer shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the product.

Nothing in this warranty limits liability for:

Death or personal injury caused by negligence

Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

Any liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
